Immersive Cyber Training Ground

The Overclock Experience is where theory meets practice. It’s designed to let students live inside cybersecurity, not just study it. Instead of a linear lab or textbook exercise, Overclock offers a dynamic, challenge-based environment where learners can test their skills, make mistakes, and grow in real time.

Hacknet: A Realistic Cyber Sandbox

At the core of Overclock is Hacknet, a simulated company network that mirrors the complexity of real-world IT infrastructure. Hacknet is divided into easy, medium, and advanced challenge zones, letting students choose their starting point and move at their own pace. Much like an open-world game, Hacknet encourages exploration and creativity—students can attack, defend, and innovate along their own unique path. Join Hacking sessions every month with the CISO and other professionals in Elcanto's Conference room.

Hands-On Learning with Purpose

Through Hacknet, students don’t just study cybersecurity—they experience it:

  • Practicing pen-testing and defense strategies in a safe, controlled network.

  • Learning to adapt to evolving threats just like real cyber teams.

  • Gaining confidence by solving problems that replicate real industry challenges.

Why It Stands Out

This experience transforms students from passive learners into active practitioners. By the time they graduate, they’ve already:

  • Navigated complex, real-world scenarios.

  • Built critical thinking and problem-solving muscles.

  • Experienced the thrill of breaking in and defending; skills directly tied to cyber careers.

The Result

Overclock and Hacknet turn GCU’s Cybersecurity program into more than a classroom—it becomes an immersive launchpad for tomorrow’s cyber professionals, blending education with real-world readiness.
